THE EUGENE REICHENTHAL RECORDER FESTIVAL

The Eugene Reichenthal Recorder Festival, previously known as the Long Island Recorder Festival has been in existence since 1968.  In 1999 it came under the auspices of SCMEA.

This festival is an excellent opportunity for your best recorder players.  It gives them a goal to work towards and is a great introduction to the festival experience.

The music is on two levels, elementary and intermediate.  The elementary music is for soprano recorder only whereas the intermediate music also makes use of the alto and tenor recorders.  There are no auditions and participants may keep the music.

This festival is open to people outside of Suffolk and to private teachers as well.
